The hosts are so friendly and helpful - they will pick you up from the bus and drop you to the mountain each morning as well as help with any questions you have. The rooms are comfortable, the bathrooms are clean and the breakfast is great. Would definitely stay again!

We greatly enjoyed our stay last week. The room was a triple but it could easily have accomodated more than three persons. Within the same room there were two beds on a lower level and then room for several Japanese style beds on a higher level accessible via stairs.||||My two daughters aged 6 and 8 enjoyed playing with the owner's son (and his toys).||||It was a 3-minute drive from the Grand Hirafu lifts and a 3-minute walk to restaurants. There was plenty of snow for snowmen and snowballs in the yard of the lodge.||||A good breakfast with plenty of coffee (for me) and Nutella (for the kids).

Tabinokousaten is a little building near Niseko. It has a cosy, homey atmosphere to it. You would almost feel at home there. The owners, Jijo and Kyoko, really make an effort to. The lodge is pretty near to the slopes (if you're there to ski or snowboard). You can take a short bus ride there. The food in the area is good and there's a wide variation, from Japanese restaurents to pizza places.||||We didn't know how to get to Tabinokousaten, so Jijo actually came to pick us up from the train station in his own van. Jijo got us all settled on the skiing side, introducing us to ski school people.||||We made arrangements to have a traditional Japanese dinner one evening. The dinner, on our last day there, was fantastic and helped us to experience what it's like to eat a real home-cooked Japanese dinner. ||||Jijo and Kyoko speak some English, more than enough to communicate. The rooms are adequate and have electric heaters and bedding and are big enough to accomodate 2-4 people. Not much in them, but comfortable.
